Q: I did not buy my Mercedes from Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land; can you service my vehicle?
A: Absolutely! Our service center is dedicated to providing an excellent customer service experience in order to build a lasting relationship. Our appointment coordinators can be reached directly at (281) 207-1580 or simply schedule online.

Q: Do you provide loaner cars?
A: Yes, our loaner cars are complimentary and based on availability. You can reserve a loaner vehicle when scheduling your appointment.  

Q: Does Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land perform State Inspections; do I need an appointment?
A: Yes, we are certified by the State of Texas to perform Inspections. For your convenience, the service department is open Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, no appointment necessary.

Q: How do I purchase a replacement key?
A: Only you, or someone authorized by you, can order a replacement key. In order to do so, we require proof of identity and vehicle ownership with original documents. Our scrutiny is your peace of mind! Speak with a parts specialist for further document information at (281) 207-1500.

Q: What is Service “A”?
A: A 6 Cylinder “A” Service includes the following items:

  • Reset Maintenance Service Indicator in instrument cluster
  • Check catch, safety catch, and hinges on the engine hood for proper operation
  • Clean water drain in air/water duct
  • Check coolant level
  • Check Brake system
  • Check windshield washer system
  • Inspect active body control (if applicable)
  • Check thickness of brake pads, front and rear
  • Correct tire inflation
  • Check main or starter battery
  • Check horn, high beam flasher, hazard warning flasher and turn signals
  • Check warning indicator lamps, illumination and interior light/exterior lighting
  • Engine – Oil and filter change

 *Depending on the mileage, additional items may be needed at additional cost. Your service advisor will discuss further.

Q: What is Service “B”?
A: All 6 and 8 Cylinder “B” Service includes the following items:

  • Reset maintenance service indicator instrument cluster
  • Check catch, safety catch and hinges on engine hood for proper operation
  • Clean water drain in air/water duct
  • Check condition of PolyVBelt
  • Check engine cooling system, antifreeze and corrosion protection
  • Check thickness of brake pads, front and rear
  • Correct tire inflation
  • Check underbody and engine compartment for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components
  • Visually inspect condition of driveshaft flexible discs
  • Visually inspect condition of front axle ball joints, rubber boots
  • Visually inspect steering mechanical components, rubber boots
  • Check horn, high beam flasher, hazard warning flasher, and turn signals lighting/exterior lighting
  • Check Night View Assist camera (where applicable)
  • Check coolant level
  • Check brake system
  • Check power steering
  • Check windshield washer system
  • Inspect Active Body Control (if applicable)
  • Replace brake fluid
  • Check parking brake (function test only)
  • Replace combination filter
  • Check trunk/cargo area lighting
  • Check and correct headlamp settings
  • Check windshield washer and headlamp cleaning system
  • Check main or starter battery
  • Engine – oil and filter change
  • Check seat belts and buckles for signs of external damage and proper function
  • Check warning indicator lamps, illumination and interior
  • clean windshield behind the cove

Q: How do I change my key battery?
A: Smart Keys are fitted with small batteries; sometimes these batteries need to be replaced. If your Smart Key doesn’t seem to be working, you can replace the battery yourself. Batteries can be purchased at Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land Boutique counter.

  1. Remove the mechanical key by sliding and pulling it out straight.
  2. Insert the mechanical key into the opening on the end of the Smart Key and push it until the cover on the back of the key opens.
  3. Remove the cover and batteries.
  4. Use a lint-free cloth to insert the new batteries with the positive side facing up.
  5. Reinstall the cover, and test the buttons to make sure the new battery works.
Q: How do I set up my Bluetooth?

Q: Do you detail vehicles?
A: Absolutely. We also repair minor "dings" by performing paintless dent repair, which does not require extensive body shop work. Our experienced service advisors can provide a better assessment of what is needed. (Any repairs made will be at additional cost.) Ask your service advisor about our tinting services too!

Q: Where can I obtain an owner’s manual or service manual for my Mercedes-Benz?
A: Manuals can be ordered through Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land’s Boutique by calling 281-207-1500 or you can visit www.mbusa.com/mercedes/#/servPrtsOverview/ to download the manual for your Mercedes.

Q: How can I obtain the radio code for my vehicle?
A: Vehicle identification number and proof of ownership is required for resetting or obtaining a radio code. Please visit our service department for assistance.
