In the heart of Fort Bend County lies a center focused on compassion and opportunity—GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land. GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land serves as a pillar of support and empowerment for individuals with Down syndrome and their families by providing educational and therapeutic services from a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome through all life stages and into adulthood—all free of charge, made possible by donations. GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land was founded in 2015 and is a part of the GiGi’s Playhouse Network, which includes 59 Playhouses nationwide and 2 locations in Mexico.
Powered by volunteers and dedicated staff members, families and individuals are welcomed with open arms. Whether through educational programs, therapeutic initiatives, or social gatherings, each offering is crafted to empower every individual to reach their fullest potential.

When we discovered the incredible work being done just down the road at GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land, we wanted to get involved. This year, MBSL hired Lexi Villarreal, a graduate of Aggie Achieve, who has spent several years at GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land. GiGi’s provided Lexi with the professional skills to thrive in a workplace environment. Lexi now works in our service department, assisting with administrative tasks. Bernice King, VP of HR, noted, “Yes, we gave Lexi an opportunity, but she is the one who has proven herself a valued and productive member of our team. It has been a joy seeing the acceptance, friendship, and professional support that our MBSL team has offered her since day one.”
