Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land and Car Culture Collect Over $3,000 Worth of Toys Benefitting Texas Children’s Hospital
On Sunday, December 15th, Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land and Car Culture hosted a vehicle exhibition and showcase at Sugar Land Town Square. The Car Culture Invitational and Toy Drive holiday-themed community event brought together car enthusiasts, families, and supporters to make a difference for Texas Children’s Hospital, spreading joy through charitable giving and festive fun.
In the spirit of the season, Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land jumpstarted the toy collection with a $1,000 donation, contributing to an incredible $3,000 worth of toys. The drive showcased the Mercedes CLE 300 as the centerpiece for collecting donations, featuring a festive white exterior and a red interior. Additionally, the dealership contributed 100 copies of “Clifford Takes a Ride,” a children’s book created in collaboration with Safe Kids Worldwide, Scholastic, and Mercedes-Benz USA, to promote child safety and literacy.
“A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make this event a success,” said Ken Enders, President and Owner at Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land. “Our community continues to inspire us—not just with their love for cars, but with their kindness and commitment to giving back. Supporting Texas Children’s Hospital in brightening the lives of their patients is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
Guests were welcomed into the Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land VIP Lounge, where they enjoyed a warm and inviting atmosphere with refreshments, light bites, and freshly brewed coffee. The talented painter Mark DeLeon’s live art elevated the lounge, and Ronnie Conlin’s black-and-white car photography exhibit celebrated the artistry of automotive design.
Attendees had the opportunity to win exciting prizes, including Formula One Mercedes-Benz Lego sets through an Instagram contest, a weekend drive in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, tickets to a concert at the Smart Financial Centre, and passes to the Teen Drive Experience at MSR Houston.
Thanks to the overwhelming kindness of our community, the Car Culture Invitational Toy Drive was a remarkable success. The collected toys and donations will bring smiles to children and families at Texas Children’s Hospital, creating moments of happiness during challenging times.
