Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land and Texas Children’s Hospital Partner to Bring Clifford Story Time to Young Patients

On August 5th, Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land had the pleasure of bringing a beloved storybook character to life for young patients at Texas Children’s Hospital. As part of a special edition of our signature community program, Clifford Story Time, the children enjoyed a live reading of “Clifford Takes a Ride.” To their delight, Clifford the Big Red Dog made a surprise appearance, adding to the magic of the event.

Our mission to actively engage with the community inspired this event. We aimed to create a moment of joy and connection for children and families facing difficult times.

To ensure every child could join in the fun, Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land donated 100 copies of “Clifford Takes a Ride,” along with Clifford-themed plush toys and activity kits. These items were given not only to children at the event but also to patients who were unable to leave their rooms. A live broadcast of the reading allowed the experience to reach the entire hospital, ensuring that no one was excluded from the occasion.

Watching Clifford pose for photos and interact with patients was a heartwarming reminder that small acts of kindness can brighten even the toughest days.
