Teen Drive Safety School | Saturday October 15th
Teen Drive Safety School
Join Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land and MSR Houston on Saturday, October 15th for Teen Driving Safety School.
At the MBSL Teen-Driving School students are given the opportunity to go beyond a typical driver’s education course and experience extreme situations in a controlled environment with trained MSR instructors. The goal is to teach students to navigate the risks they may face on the road.
Upon arrive, students will be given an official MBSL Teen Drive T-shirt and meet with the professional driving instructors, which gives them an opportunity to learn about each student and their specific driving needs and experience. Students share their favorite and worst experiences driving thus far.
Teens will then dive straight into an hour-long classroom session with the instructors, who will teach the students how to be better prepared in difficult driving situations along with the importance of safe driving.
Following the lesson, the students will put their newly acquired skills and knowledge to the test on the driving course where they are given the keys to a Mercedes-Benz and asked to complete different driving modules. The goal of these “hands-on” driving experiences such as skid pad steering, braking and reversing exercises, is to prepare newer drivers how to get out of tough situations and demonstrate crucial safety and accident-avoidance techniques.
At the end of the day, participants receive a certificate of completion along with the knowledge to be more prepared for the road ahead.
Teen Driving Safety School participants must meet the following requirements:
- Between 16 and 20 years of age
- At least 6 months of driving experience
- A valid driver’s license (permits not allowed)
- First-time Teen Driving Safety School participant
