Oktoberfest 2019 Recap
On Saturday, October 12th, Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land brought a taste of Germany to the Sugar Land community. More than 500 visitors gathered at the dealership and enjoyed a festive Oktoberfest celebration including free German-inspired food, music and family fun activities.
Oktoberfest kicked off at 11 a.m. by demonstrating the Mercedes-Benz User Experience system (MBUX) on the newly reimagined 2020 Mercedes-Benz vehicles. MBUX raises the bar in automotive technology through artificial intelligence, allowing your vehicle to become your mobile concierge as it learns your preferences over time. A simple utterance of “Hey Mercedes” commands your vehicle to attention.
Throughout the event, guests took commemorative photos in the themed photo booth, ate German classics like sausage-on-a-stick and homemade pretzels, and tested their distracted driving skills on the dealership’s all-new vehicle simulator. Visitors also had the opportunity to win special giveaway prizes from Kendra Scott and Lululemon First Colony, with a special grand prize giveaway to visit the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in the Bahamas.
“As an iconic German brand, celebrating Oktoberfest and sharing cultural experiences with the community is important to our dealership,” said Ken Enders, President and Owner of Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land, “Oktoberfest stands for unity and bringing people together, and we’re very pleased our popular annual event does just that.”
