Safe Driving with the Mercedes-Benz Club of America – Houston Section

April 17th, 2019 by

In partnership with the Mercedes-Benz Club of America: Houston Chapter (MBCAH), Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land hosted its first safety driving school for adults at MSR Houston.

Twenty members from the MBCAH joined our team as well as instructors including professional race car driver and brand ambassador Kory Enders for a day focused on improvement. The event kicked off with a meet and greet, light snacks and brief classroom instruction. Covering wheel traction, steering placement and general guidelines for the day, attendees were given everything they needed before hitting the course.

A joint mission by our dealership and the MBCAH to help reduce the risks that all drivers may face on the road, the course allowed participants a chance to get behind the wheel and go beyond their original driver education course in sleek Mercedes-Benz style. Our partner, MSR Houston, served as the perfect setting in allowing drivers to experience a controlled course, enhancing their knowledge, confidence, and ability to tackle the road in various conditions

Following lunch, the members were permitted to take their vehicles on the racetrack for a few parade laps. It was a beautiful sight to classic and current vehicles decorating the drive. For the second half of the day, the instruction and driving courses emphasized crucial safety and accident avoidance techniques. Our mission was accomplished in style and with smiles. To cap off a great day, attendees ended with a round of go-karts and were able to release the pinned up need for speed. We can’t wait to do it again!
