Smart, Safe, Skilled: Mercedes-Benz Sugar Land’s Driving Program for Houston Teens
Students from high schools across the greater Houston area took to the racetrack at MSR Houston for an immersive driving experience, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land’s (MBSL) exclusive Teen Driving Program. Designed to equip new drivers with essential skills, the program provided young motorists real-world training in a controlled environment, emphasizing safety, confidence, and responsible driving habits.
Students from Jordan High School, St. Agnes Academy, and Clements High School participated. The hands-on curriculum included practical exercises such as emergency braking, skid control, and precision maneuvering—skills that go beyond the basics taught in standard driver’s education courses. The program instills confidence by focusing on power and awareness, preparing participants to drive with awareness and efficiency in real-world conditions.
With a decade of experience hosting this program, Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land remains committed to refining and expanding its impact. Each session evolves, integrating new techniques and insights from motorsports to enhance the experience. The growth in skill and confidence among young drivers highlights the program’s significance, fostering individual development and a safer driving environment for everyone on the road.
Through ongoing collaborations with local high schools and community partners, MBSL continues to shape the future of teen driving education in Houston, empowering young drivers with the knowledge and experience they need to navigate the roads responsibly.
